The first half isn't over yet
From football and community updates to events, mentorship opportunities, and everything in between.
We are in June now. Finally?
PSG won the Champions League on Saturday (if you watched that). The penalty in Budapest -- the kind of ending that either breaks your heart (any tears for Arsenal?) or makes your night depending on who you support. But whether you watched it or found out from someone’s WhatsApp status, here we are, on this Wednesday morning, first week of June, and more than the rain is already making its presence known.
To give it some perspective, we are halfway through 2026. What did you say you were going to do this year? Because the second half starts now and the question is simply whether you are going back out there or not. The rain is not asking for your opinion, it is just falling and watering whatever you have been growing. Make sure you planted something worth watering.
Presenting June to you. Drumrolls please…
👩🍳Something is cooking
You didn’t think we would stop with Raenest, did you?
For the builders in our community: something big is coming.
We’ve been working on an opportunity that brings together software development, real-world problem-solving, and the chance to build something with impact. More details will be shared soon, but trust us when we say this is one you will want to pay attention to.
For now, keep an eye on the community channels and your inbox.
📅 Two Sessions You Should Not Miss on Saturday
The Soft Skills of Software Engineering @ 2PM WAT | 4PM EAT
Abiola Solomon Adeoye, Software Developer at Zedcrest Group and the engineer behind systems that have processed over ₦110B in loan disbursements, is talking about what actually separates good engineers from great ones in an AI-driven world. Technical skills get you in the room. This session is about what keeps you there.
Step-by-Step DevOps 2026 @ 6PM WAT | 8PM EAT
Lateef Taiwo, Cloud and DevOps Engineer certified across AWS, Microsoft, Linux Foundation and more, is giving you a practical roadmap through cloud and DevOps in 2026. No fluff, just the skills, tools and practices that actually matter.
Both are happening on Saturday June 6th. Pick one or attend both -- the choice is yours.
🤝Mentorship: Technical Writing and Product Management
We are building something that has been missing in this community for a while and we think the timing is right. We have seen your questions and know you need this.
If you have real experience in Technical Writing or Product Management and you genuinely enjoy watching people grow, we want to match you with someone who needs exactly what you have. And if you are building in either of those spaces and want someone who has been there walking alongside you, this is for you too.
